I made a fuel heater for my 2002 f150 and then found out that there is no where to put it without nearly taking the engine out. PVC Enhancer is working, cleaning a lot of crud out of the gas stream. Waiting now for the electrode wire from welding supply house.

I'm doing a 2004 F250 gas engine.  Hope to have all the parts this week except EFIE.  I was told that all newer Fords don't have MAP sensors that they have oxygen sensors.  Where did you guys find out that you needed a MAP sensor?  I believe my F250 also has a MAF sensor but haven't verified as of yet.

After I do the F250 and get it going I plan to do the wifes 07 Ford Escape.

I have been playing around with my 2003 F150 4X4 Crew cab for about 2 1/2 months now. I was running the single jar setup for the first two tanks of gas and got a 9% increase in mileage. 15.2 MPG verses and average of 13.5. I tried tapping into a vacuum line at first but I was not very happy with the vacuum source on the engine. I have since moved the supply line to the air inlet duct just in front of the throttle body but there is very little vacuum at this point. I am currently experimenting with a three jar setup.

I have an F150 2000 model and am considering it for my next build. Would you be able to document your build with lots of picture posts so we can all see where your equipment is going inside the engine compartment. I think there is enough room but sure would like to benefit from the guys who are faster and have more time.

Good luck with yours.

I will try to get some pictures this weekend. The best place I found to mount the jars is in front of the radiator just behind the grill. I purchased some heavy gauge wire mesh at the hardware store with 1" spacing on the wire and bent it into a basket and tack welded the corners. The baskets are attached to the radiator support frame under the cowl panel that surrounds the hood release. Currently I have two installed. One on each side of the hood release. It is enough to hold six jars but I only have 3 running at the moment. Access to service the jars takes a little more time to get at, but there is plenty of cooling air coming through the grill and it is easy to see without opening the hood. I did end up using a power relay directly off the hot battery bus to power the jars and a relay control circuit coming from the under hood circuit breaker box to get the system working. My truck had an empty relay socket in the box for a trailer battery charging system that worked great for controlling the relay with the key on, engine running, but could not handle all the amperage for powering the jars. Thus the power relay came into play.

Well I installed a 60 oz jar with 3 tspoons of baking soda on my 99 F150 4.7 4x4 and have had increases in mileage but can not keep them for long. I added 2 O2 sensor extenders to the 2 in front of the cat convertor.   My engine surges a lot and never seems to smooth out.   I will be putting a scanner on the computer soon to see what is going on. Several times my mileage has dropped 2 mpg. My best increase was 5mpg, the first time.

I need an effie device so when someone tries that out let me know if that helps.

I tried installing the O2 extenders on the front two sensors on my 2003 F150 but have not seen any improvements. I will have to run down a code reader for this year truck and try resetting the computer and see if that will help.
