Hi, just read the books and plan on doing this but I am running into the MAF problem. Anyone done a vortec engine ? and how did you handle the MAF.
Thanks.

| I am working on an 04 tahoe now From what I have read and others can back me up on this, stay away from the MAF sensor. Start with the O2 sensors first!!!!! I started slow, first add one anti fouler plug on each O2 sensor. If that doesnt work, add another to make 2 on each sensor. I just added 2 and I am finally seeing small results. Save yourself alot of frustration and look into an EFIE enhancer first and go from there. Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

I think you are right on about going the o2 EFIE enhancer route first! I went the MAP sensor first and o2 foil wrapping with no improvement in MPG at all. So I ordered two EFIE's then received tech support suggestion to electrically disconnect the pre converter sensors then battery for 30 min to reset computer. Then connect battery leaving sensors disconnected. They say even though the scangauge will still say closed loop the MAP sensor enhancer should now be able to lean the engine for more MPGs. But sense I removed the MAP I want to try the EFIE's next. Also went to two electrolyzers connected in series which operate cooler than the one that warped the plastic with one spoon of soda. One of my electrolyzers has rods for electrodes instead of wrapped wire and plastic. Six volts on each electrolyzer instead of 12 on one, creating heat. 4-6 Week wait for EFIE's is what Eagle-research quotes.

bwizard- have you tried this? Please let me know what size / type resistor works? I have 96 Chev K1500 w/ 5.7 L. 3 electrolyzers, efie, but no consistent results -YET. Thanks

yes it works but varys per vehicle so u must do as it says and start with a 10 ohm and test different resistors
