I would prefer to consider the enhancers as signal modifiers; I didn't read anything in the law that mentioned that. Of course, if it came to a legal battle at some point, the nature of the politics of the thing, or who had the better lawyer, might (or might not) decide the outcome. Chris

To Forum Members,

How CORRECT GasJar is-it boils down to who has the most money or interest in case as to the outcome. I've used amicus curiae briefs in some court preceding to presude the court favorable on some cases in the past. Sometimes its like a crap shoot-you don't really know who is behind who-some judges can be honest & fair but there is always that malevolent force (special Interest)working to undermine one's case-BIG BROTHER! & Special Interest like oil and the pharmaeutical  working to undermine any positive gains for middle-class people.:angry

I wish I had the one answere but don't. ALL I can do is vote, write congressman and every blue moon file an amicus cariae breif. But this takes hours of researching case law and finding approriate cases. We can all do our part by writing our congressperson and voting the right pople in.

It would be very difficult for the government to defeat the use of Water for Gas (Hydrogen) because the car industry along with EPA are developing automobiles that run 100 percent on water (H20).  They are using it right now in a certain city in UPS trucks.  Our current vehicles emissions content, as required by the EPA laws/regulations, still consist of the same allowable pollutants, except at a lower level when utilizing Water for Gas.  So with this in mind, how would the reduction in pollutants when using Water for Gas be a violation of law, when the government (law) is providing funding to establish automobiles that run on water?  It looks like they would have to fine themselves.

Politicians creed: Do as I say, not as I do.

A friend of mine recieved a brochure in the mail today; there is a new company going around to new car dealerships, signing them up to have the injectors on the new vehicles changed to injectors designed specifically for hydrogen on demand.

Don't worry though, that does nothing for the unknown millions of vehicles out there with expired warrantees.

Thank you one and all  for the point and counter point discussion.Suffice to say that we feel that ...as Humanists(for the right of all humans to live free, share thoughts and ideas, and allow each other to believe what works for them, without violence used to convince someone you are "right")that the tide of complete self interest is no longer growing. It flat out doesnt work in the long run.We have discovered if you dont believe in something...other folks will force their belief on you.The life of Ghandi comes to mind and what was achieved against some very powerful Corporate/government interests.Anyways..on a cool note..we retook an emissions test today..and after 4 days of H.H.O. in the car..lower emissions and higher 02 output! If anyone wishs exact before and after readings.e-mail us and we will be happy to respond.Live free or Die

It's all good. Keep it simple, and never give up.

It's true we are on the good side and have the spirit of these laws on our side. There was pollution, the EPA made laws to reduce it, and we are helping to reduce it.

But the time may come when a group apposed to this effort will twist the laws to mean there should be no modifications to any device designed to comply with the EPA laws without expressed approval from the EPA. (think fascism)

We should prepare and gather political and legal support now before the bloody oil barons throw a punch at us.

I ran across this in the website dealing with E.P.A. laws. Thought it was interesting.

Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Vehicle Incentives and Laws

Learn about our data collection methodologies.

Select a state below to view hydrogen-related incentives and laws in that state. The legend signifies the number of incentives and laws available in each state using a color code. You may also view Federal Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Vehicle Incentives and Laws. Or search incentives and laws for other fuel types and advanced vehicles by going to the main Incentives and Laws section of this site.

That was a great post Walking Eagle... here is the law I found for Washington State...Good to know...

State Laws and Regulations
Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) Identification Requirement

Every automobile, truck, motorcycle, motor home, or off-road vehicle that is fueled by an alternative fuel must bear a reflective placard issued by the National Fire Protection Association indicating that the vehicle is powered by an alternative fuel.

Thanks!

I would say that it is not illegal. You are not rendering any part of the emissions system inoperable. You are only adding how well it works!
