After doing more research I think I have a MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor.  There is no MAP sensor.  Now the big question is, what to use to gain control over the computerized settings.

Have you wrapped your O2 sensors yet?  If not, give it a shot.  If that does not work you might want to try O2 sensor extenders... and if that does not work the next step is the EFIE ... start with the cheapest methods first, they may be all you need.  Good luck ...

It's all good. Keep it simple, and never give up.

According the the manual I purchases there is no reference to a MAP sensor, just the MAF and O2 sensors.  I'll might try calling the dealership to make sure.

Results are in from the gas additive I tried.  I used 2 parts acetone to 1 part xylene.  In the spring I was getting just under 15 mpg.  Last summer I was pleased if I approaced 17 mpg.  My summer driving include a bit more highway driving in higher temperatures, so that must be taken into consideration.

However on this tank, with the additive, I obtained 19.3 mpg, about 29% improved over my spring calculations
