A situation has come to my attention and I’m putting it out to the Online Book Members ONLY for comment.

There have been many new users who have not bought the Online Books and are posting many questions that can be answered by the books. Members of this forum being good people willingly answer these questions. The problem is that we keep reteaching new members where the books are a better place for learning the knowledge. All of our time is valuable and should be kept working on the task at hand and not spent teaching what is in the books. So order to help this situation we propose the following:

--Starting next week Forum Members will have continue access to view current areas but will NOT be able to post. They still can learn from our post but must get the Online Books in order to post.

--Moderators will be less tolerant on questions that can be answered in the books. This will make the entire forum easier to find answers by eliminating restating information in the books. My call to Arms In order to enforce this I will need more able volunteers to help me moderate. Currently, I spend over 50 hours a week keeping everything straight and could use more help.

Now until next week I wish to read replies from Online Books Members on what you think about this change.

Please Forum Member do not reply. While you are important, this Forum is ultimately for the benefit of Online Book Owners.

Forum Members can always upgrade to Online Book Membership once you buy the books. To Register as an Online Book Member Click Here For more information on the books and how to buy them, CLICK HERE

I guess that will work, I know I'm getting sick of seeing 3 new members a day all saying I hooked up a jar only and I'm not getting results. It does seem like they are really missing reading the book on tuning for best results. They are missing the idea that it's a system, not one jar. This is pretty clear in the book, so I do question why they don't get it. I think these people are coming from ebay with jars they got there and half *** copied instructions.

I was about to do a round up of common questions and make an faq post. To try and cut down on the overload of simple stuff that has been coming, but I guess that's not a good idea now.

Dear Admin,

I always check to see if they are a book member before I volunteer to give any additional information or help with parts. I also do not think that forum members should have access to my email address, which appears to be another way around the books. I volunteer to be a moderator for "Healthy drinking water you can make." "again" I figured you had a reason for not making me a moderator the first time but I do not know what that is?

Thanks, loyal book member, UB1

yeah, that would be cool.

Also, I think it would be cool to have a section that has people post their system with pictures and info. Maybe have it broken down into pre OBDI, OBDI, OBDII. In the future it would be really cool to see it broken down by car model so people can learn from those who have been trying to modify their particular model. Maybe it would need to be a restricted area. Seems like its all growing fast enough to make that happen in the not too distant future.

Sounds good!!  This will cut down on the "Will this work in my car" questions.

I really do agree with Jon that people are buying off Ebay and then posting crazy questions here for help.

Good luck

Sounds good.

It's all good. Keep it simple, and never give up.

Just what does a regular member get access to without being an "online book member"?  Which sections of the forums do they see?

I believe what admin. means is that the members can view the forum, but unless they have the ebooks, and register, they will not be able to ask questions or otherwise participate in the forum.

I feel that it is an excellent idea. I for one am busy, and am not the type that likes answering the same questions over and over. By the same token, my nature is such that I like to see everyone get the most out of their systems.

So, Bravo admin!!

Wonderful

1997 Buick (3800 II V-6 engine) working with two H.H.O. boosters in front of grill, both feeding into vacuum, wired parallel, OS wrapped with foil. More power! Maybe 10-15 % better MPG at this time. 07/10/08, 200 miles driven, used aprox 1 qt water, 100f degree day.

1996 Ford F-250 diesel need 4 H.H.O.'s ??? (to be built)
2001 Toyota PU (to be built)
1995 Suburban 350 cubic (to be built)
1984 Mitsubishi diesel tractor (to be built)
2005 Sears 42" riding mower (to be built)
