| Hello Folks, I just stumbled onto this topic - - and the "water-baffle" caught my eye. (1.) We have a fine Australian Technician who has a great solution = a Water-Baffle that DEFIES the loss of electrolyte = and just recently has made what I call a "S.C.C.R." Separator, Collector, Chiller, Recirculation System. I don't see a way to post the Picture OR the PDF, so please advise - OR, I can email them to you. (2.) His device is finished, for cars and heavy trucks. The third tier, was the Boat Electrolyzer. I don't think it's out of trials yet, but a nice design. Uses seawater as electrolyte, always fresh, always cool. THIS HOD system sucks out the electrolyte AND the H.H.O. = separates them, passes the H.H.O. to the motor and dumps the seawater. <Clever Lad, What?> (3.) I can appreciate concerns about 'loose Hydrogen in confined spaces', but can allay those concerns somewhat. Cast about for a local bottled gas provider; Oxygen, Acetylene, Helium ... and Hydrogen. The Hydrogen will be more expensive for several reasons = not the least of which, is that is SO-oo difficult to capture and HOLD. You can verify this with the real experts..! They will tell you that Hydrogen CANNOT be stored in 'bottles' that WILL hold: Oxygen, Acetylene, Helium ...! The molecule is simply TOO Small and TOO Light ... they are required to take addition measures for containment. Bob Foreman, Atlanta, GA

This is really great information that I think would be interesting to all of us. I do not believe that you can actually post those things here but if you like I would be willing to host your images/pdfs on my website or blog and you could then link to them from here.
Best,

Hi there!
What kind of compass do you have on your boat? I'd say a similar set up to let the electrolyser stay fairly stable should work. I'll be putting the system onto my 50hp Yamaha soon and that's what I plan to do. I intend to use the the little openings for the vacuum test gauges on each inlet manifold for the H.H.O. hose. As it's not fuel injected the old carby lean out system should work. All I need is several bi metal under sparkplug washer shaped temperature gauges to tweek how far to lean out so as not to cook valves or cylinder heads. Can anybody tell me where I can get these? I'm on Aitutaki, a tiny island in the South Pacific - no motor racing gear shops around here. My plan is to get all the cruise boat operators on this island paradise with one of the most beautiful lagoons in the world to go on H.H.O. and so reduce the pollution of the lagoon so that when all of you have made your $$ with water4gas you still have a nice place to come to for your South Pacific holiday getaway.
Cheers Matthias
