H.H.O. TEST CAR: 1990 Geo Prizm.
This vehicle has a 1.6L engine and automatic transmission with overdrive. The odometer is showing 206,213 miles!
Original MPG; Highway = 42 MPG, city = 31 MPG. *Not sure why such a dramatic drop for city, haven't figured it out yet...
09-29-08: Added one mayson quart jar w/Electrolyzer, full 6" X 1/4" X 2-1/4" Plexiglass Tower built with Highest Quality 316L .080 dia. Stainless Steel wire for anode and 302/304 Stainless Steel wire double wound .030 dia. for cathode, half spaced at 1/2" by the rule, 12.48 AMPs draw with 1 tsp baking soda. H.H.O. yield = "Untested at present"... **But I can tell from looking, it is generating above the W4G average!
Results:
I got a 15% Increase in MPG and much improved engine performance from a bad experience!
Explination:
After installing the Electrolyzer I ran the vehicle for about 40 minutes before leaving my home to travel to my workplace about 2-1/2 hours (115+ mls.) away. After driving about an additional 1/2 hour+ to the first town and stopping for fuel, I learned that the double wound cathode wire had snapped in a kink and the electrolyzer was no longer generating. The jar was still very warm and the water inside hadn't even completely settled, so I am quiet certain that the electrolyzer had at least an hour+ run time before it stopped working. I disconnected the positive wire from the unit and left the vacuum hose attached and everything else in place. For the next hour and a half traveling from Leitchfield, Ky. to Louisville, Ky. the car ran slightly cooler than usual, it ran so much smoother than usual and gained almost 15% increase in fuel efficiency to an amazing 48 MPG! At first, it baffled me as to how this could be. Then, it dawned on me! The hour+ run time before the electrolyzer stopped working was long enough that, in essence, I am now equipped with "the vaporizer, charged water system"! I think this is absolutely amazing! If I were to decide not to repair the electrolyzer and simply maintain a charged water system, I'll still be satisfied, because at only a 15% increase, that's a savings of $15.40 a trip and my system will pay out in less than a month and after that will be $avings in the bank!
I am now wondering if the charged water system (Vaporizer) may not be the best solution for those later model vehicles having so many complications with too much oxygen, until a fix or remedy can be achieved?........
Good Luck to All,
Jim Johnson
